Vintage Natural Amber 39 Grams Necklace ; Baltic amber is fossil resin produced by pine trees which grew in Northern Europe about 40-50 million years ago. The resin was washed out of the forest floor by large rivers and transported south towards the sea. In the course of time the resin was transformed to amber due to processes of polymerization and oxidation. Baltic amber (known as succinite) is a specific subset of amber that is found only in northern Europe: it accounts for some 80% of the known amber in the world. Baltic amber has high concentrations of a unique substance known as succinic acid. Succinic acid has been shown to stimulate neural system recovery and bolster the immune system. As a powerful antioxidant it is said to help eliminate free radicals and discourages disruptions of the cardiac rhythm. It helps restore strength and energy to the entire body and enhances brain function, thereby improving awareness, concentration, reflexes, and reducing stress. Succinic acid is commercially produced, widely used and approved for use by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Baltic amber is naturally high in this substance, and is one of the most important natural sources of succinic acid in the world.

2. BUYER'S PREMIUM: A 15% buyer's premium is charged on all items for auction sale above the auction sale price. The purchase price including buyer's premium must be paid in full by the successful bidder within 24 hours of the auction.
3. RESERVE or MINIMUM PRICES: If a lot is offered subject to a reserve or minimum price (the confidential minimum price below which the lot will not be sold), the Auctioneer may implement such reserve by bidding on behalf of the consignor, whether by opening bidding or continuing bidding until the reserve is obtained, or by placing consecutive bids, or bids in response to other bidders.
4. BIDDING: The Auction House reserves the right to reject a bid from any bidder. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders the Auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion to determine the successful bidder or to reopen bidding.
