Beautiful grouping featuring two hand-painted Japanese Kyoto-ware vases and a large contemporary ikebana centerpiece signed Studio 55. The matching Kyoto vases (approx. 6–8”) are hand-painted with serene landscape scenes of pines, temples, and mountains in soft natural tones. Each carries an elegant calligraphic inscription and two red artist seals, typical of mid-20th-century Kyō-yaki (Kiyomizu-yaki) pottery from Kyoto. One vase displays a fine crackle glaze, the other a smooth ivory finish—both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

All purchases must be paid for on auction day unless doing an absentee bid. There is a 18 percent buyers premium added to all successful bids.

Sales tax will be collected unless a valid Provincial Sales Tax number is on file with us.
Once the auctioneer indicates an item is sold to a bidder (by identification of the bidder number); a verbal contract is consummated and liability for the item(s), including responsibility for payment rests with the bidder.
Merchandise must be removed from auction premises within 1 business days following the sale to avoid a storage charge of 10% per lot, per day. Shipping and/or freight can be arranged at purchaser’s expense.
