Mauser Argentine 1891 Sporter 7.5 x 53mm Bolt Action Rifle

The 7.65×53mm Argentine is a first-generation smokeless powder rimless bottlenecked
centerfire rifle cartridge developed for use in the Mauser Model 1889 rifle by Paul
Mauser of the Mauser company. It is also known as 7.65×53mm Argentine rimless,
7.65mm Argentine, 7.65×53mm Belgian Mauser, 7.65mm Belgian and 7.65×53mm
Mauser (in Belgium).

This fine example has been sporterized from original military configuration. The lower
wood forestock from last band to muzzle has been removed.

The 7.65X53mm Argentine caliber Model 1891 rifle was used from 1891 to 1909.
The 29 inch barrel has a good bore with strong rifling. The gun has approx. 35% bluing
overall.
The Argentine crest over the chamber was removed prior to its sale by the government.
The left side of the receiver is marked MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891 over
MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN. All the numbers are matching.
The stock is fine with the usual small bumps found on rifles of this age.

It has the oval Argentine inspection stamp on the right butt. The swivels are present.
The action functions correctly.
This is a nice looking example of the Model 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle.
